Naturopathic Practice for Psychotherapy
Behavioural therapy
Behavioural therapy (BT) is based on the premise that learned behaviour can be unlearned or replaced by a desired improved behaviour for the future. This can be done through psychoeducation in combination with "feeling through" or living through the carefully staged, triggering stimulus and the experience of surviving this situation (often unexpectedly). By observing his or her own past behaviour, the client achieves emotional distancing, making it easier to train him or herself to adapt to the newly desired behaviour.
